Abstract

The 2007 Tanzanian National Voucher Scheme (TNVS) household, facility and facility users’ survey addressed indicators falling into four main domains: (1) bednet ownership and use; (2) nets and insecticide retreatment; (3) Reproductive and child health (RCH) indicators; (4)voucher processes. The results across 21 districts are representative of Tanzania mainland. Due to the multiple bednet treatment options available in Tanzania during the study period an insecticide treated bednet has been redefined to “effectively treated bednet” which includes both recently treated nets with conventional insecticide and nets with long lasting treatment.
