The Inter-agency Group for Child Mortality Estimation (IGME) constitutes representatives of the United Nations Children’s Fund, the World Health Organization, the World Bank and the United Nations Population Division. The child mortality estimates presented in this report have been reviewed by IGME members. As new information becomes available, estimates will be updated by the IGME. Differences between the estimates presented in this report and those in forthcoming publications by IGME members may arise because of differences in reporting periods or in the availability of data during the production process of each publication and other evidence. While every effort has been made to maximize the comparability of statistics
across countries and over time, users are advised that country data may differ in terms of data collection methods, population coverage and estimation method used.
The designations employed and the presentation of the material in this publication do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the World Bank or the United Nations Population Division concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers
or boundaries. Dotted lines on maps represent approximate border lines for which there may not yet be full agreement.
